This was an intriguing project theme that required me to adapt a style or painting from art history, imbue it with a sense of despair, and include an object starting with the letter "H." I chose to create a "Desperate Harbor," drawing inspiration from the works of surrealist painter Michiel Schrijver.
The scene, featuring a listing abandoned boat against a gloomy sky and falling rain, aims to evoke a strong sense of abandonment and loneliness. I utilized surrealist techniques to rearrange and combine elements of the harbor, challenging the viewer's perception and prompting reflection on forgotten hopes and lost dreams.
