This project, " A Little Planet (It’s a Small World After All!)", focused on visually representing extreme scale differences (vast and tiny) and delineating the foreground, midground, and background of a scene.
As I had less experience creating outdoor natural scenes, I chose to challenge myself by creating an "Acorn Village" located beneath a giant tree. In this piece, the immense tree trunk dramatically contrasts with the small, intricately detailed acorn houses, cleverly conveying the concept of varying scales. I utilized Maya for the overall scene modeling and layout, employed ZBrush to sculpt rich details and organic shapes, and meticulously textured the assets with Substance Painter to bring a realistic yet whimsical visual effect to the acorn village.
